Swedish it

Privacy Policy

Last Updated: 25-08-2026

Swedish it is an offline-first Swedish-learning app. This policy describes the current data flows.

Local data

Speech and audio

Text-to-speech is requested through the device’s speech service. Speech-recognition practice uses the speech-recognition capability available on the device or operating system. Depending on your platform settings, those providers may process audio or text under their own privacy policies. The app does not operate its own speech server.

Optional AI endpoint

The app can use an optional OpenAI-compatible lesson endpoint when configured by the user or distributor. If enabled, lesson prompts and the context necessary to answer them may be sent to that endpoint. The endpoint operator controls its own retention and privacy practices. Do not enter sensitive personal information into lesson prompts.

The bundled offline lesson agent can be used without that network request. API credentials must not be placed in source control or ordinary app preferences.

Analytics, advertising, and sharing

The current app contains no advertising SDK, behavioural analytics, user profiling, or sale of personal data. Local learning data is not shared by the app unless a configured third-party AI or device speech service is used.

Data deletion

Delete local app data through device settings or uninstall the app. This removes locally stored progress and vocabulary data. Third-party speech and AI providers handle information already sent to them under their own policies.

Changes and contact

This policy may change when app capabilities or providers change. For questions, contact pocean.development@gmail.com.
